Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Man of the Year Candidate Emanuel Petrisor

Tony Overbay, LMFT interviews Emanuel Petrisor on the Virtual Couch Podcast episode 119. Emanuel Petrisor has been an ICU nurse for almost 20 years. His family immigrated from Romania when he was 5, and Emanuel discovered a love for history after coming to America. He initially went to school to become a teacher, but when he was 18, his brother Benjamin was diagnosed with leukemia. Emanual had no idea what blood cancer was, nor did he know he would be Benjamin’s stem cell donor that same year. Tragically his family lost Benjamin later that year, but that became the catalyst that led him down the healthcare path as a career option, in the same hospital that he first entered with his brother. Emanuel's story is one of finding purpose and meaning in the midst of crisis and devastation. You can donate to Emanuel’s fundraising campaign by going here https://pages.mwoy.org/sac/sac19/epetrisor
